When bustling Pier 39 opened in 1978, The San Francisco Music Box Company was one of the original stores at
the internationally famous shopping site. In the months that followed the opening, the small store proved to be
one of the most popular retailers on the Pier for tourists and collectors alike. Buoyed by their success, store founders Marcia
and John Lenser, with great optimism, opened a second store in a suburban mall location. When the mall store also proved
successful, the Lensers continued expanding the stores. While a lot has changed, the one constant is our focus on quality
musical gifts and outstanding customer service. We feature a wide selection of musical products, over 1000
different items ranging in price from $10 to $500, musical figurines, waterglobes, jewelry boxes, and more. Our staff
works with talented artists around the world to find musical treasures for every gift giving occasion. Some of our most popular and cherished lines include The Wizard of Oz, Gone With The Wind, Phantom of the
Opera and Betty Boop. Featured designers include Susan Winget, Mary Badenhop and Debra Jordan Bryan.
