Study
stress begins from Mother and Father when the child reaches to school admission age. Worry to get child admitted to good schools
is the first preference for parents. Situation some times is, too tensed when even parents face interviews in the schools.
Modern and good schools do not like to work hard to uplift students rather they expect students they teach should be intelligent.
They pass their responsibility to the parents. Therefore, tensed parents work hard to update their children for interview
and the stressed situation lasts until the child gets admission in school. We find
two types of education the child gets. First, is training the survival instinct, given mainly by mother, father and family
or friends. Right from learning to walk, eat, and speak, to lead the family life, the child gets training mainly from
mother then others associated with children. Second, one is training the social conduct given by the schools, teachers. These
two trainings the child requires to survive and maintain social identity. For this, parents motivate child to work hard in
studies for future life. Parents concern about child’s future forces them to put heavy pressure on child during studies. Real pressure
builds up on the child when reaches to secondary education. The study pressure messes up child’s free movement and recreation.
Homework infuriates mental depression as to complete by dead line. Child has to attend school and bring lot of homework given
by school to practice at home. Most of the time, Child involves in school and homework, and skips other essential activities
equally important as school education. Child also needs other education directly related to growth and health, such as mixing
up with other children, play, recreation, and other activities for the mental growth and health. Purpose
of schools is education and completed then and there only. Homework or assignments whatever, is nonsense practice. As I sense,
indicates lapses in education systems and shows inefficiency of schools and teachers who burden their responsibility and weaknesses
on children with homework. Such schools are unfit for educations (Only my opinion) that are incompetent to complete studies
in classroom. The clear indication of failure of education system is that children are loaded purposeless excessive of studies;
even schools face problems completing the syllabus in due time. I feel at least 50% of what children study is of no use for
future life. Educational boards have unnecessarily burdened and pressurized children and schools. Schools should educate a
child in relation to child’s taste and personality so can prepare to demonstrate own ability and find resources that
suits own personality; Most unfortunate, that child fails to develop own personality and own creativity under modern education
system. Children find themselves crushed between education systems and schools and suffer depression to live stressful childhood.
Even
parents contribute their share to study stress. Their expectations are too high from their children expect high rather the
highest performance from their children so can claim the performance of children to neighbors and relations to seek impressive
attention or avoid school notices. The expectations being top priority pressurize children to show performance. Especially
mothers involve deep into the children affairs to restrict from other activities for study-study and study only. Parents too
come in pressure and sit with them to teach or send to extra classes or tuition centers cutting household budget to avoid
blames from schools for child’s nonperformance or avoiding shame when meet others in neighborhood. .Extra-coaching centers
flourish their business due to parent’s attitude or school’s ineffectiveness. Finally, child/student crunched
between parent’s status and study load. Begin developing abnormal behaviors like sleepless nights, irritation, lies,
and so. Now the types of students: I observe
the categories who attend schools. All of them have individual characters and behavioral attitude. Child lives in an environment that has high expectations
so has to arrive to the expectation. During middle and secondary education child
mainly studies to satiate parents, friends, society, teachers, schools, and neighborhood. Especially, mother and father are
more concerned about the child’ future and put high-pressure so they could see child’s successful future. Successful child gets honor and attention that the child or any individual would love.
Child incurs efforts to meet their expectations and works hard to achieve. Level of hard work depends on the edibility to
grasp. Day and night sits to copy from books to pasting into brain or notebooks. For
most, studies mean a tuff task more than to wrestle in WWF wrestling and too uninteresting. When any subject becomes boring
signifies the subject is either too difficult to grasp or teaching method is such that child fails to understand the basics.
However, for each student the study means is load on the head. Study system introduced
as tuff job. Systems of educating children have many weaknesses that scare children. The education does not seem to be funny, pleasant and
interesting so could attract children to involve. Once I watched in “National
Geographic channel,” in North American forest, puma in her mouth brought live rabbit to its kids, I thought was to feed
them but not true. The truth was live rabbit was brought to kitten to educate the hunting method. The kitten played with live
rabbit until killing. Then I realized the system of education of animals is better than human.
Play and learn system brings the perfection to education. The system we
follow is to stress children and make sick. The primary, secondary, graduation education fails to give future, as to seek jobs need
to study professional courses. The Graduation signifies the status, that’s is all !! Exams create tensed situation to the students. Their
panic situations begin much before the beginning of the exams. The uncontrollable
stress situation produces stomachache, nausea, vomiting, blocking sensation, anger, depression, mind blankness, chest pain,
palpitation, butterflies in the stomach (a situation of fear of result), hands going limp and sometimes inability to write
exams due to fear and confusions, etc. These are the following symptoms we observe
during or just before the exams. Children need to understand that the panic and the stress
situation only kill them, they have to live to fight to grow in future, and these exams are not the real exams of life. In
life they have to face many such and larger situations. Failure in these exams may affect little at present but incites them
to do better, is a kind of incentive to perform better.
